The perpetrators of the unauthorized voter transfers have been identified by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).
This is in response to concerns voiced by Deputy President William Ruto, who claimed that the Deep State had compromised the IEBC and removed the data of around a million of his supporters.
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati denied reports that the organization’s servers had been hacked in a statement, claiming that three of his employees were involved in the inside job.
He stated that he had provided the names of the offenders to the appropriate authorities for more examination and future action.
Nairobi, Nyeri, Mandera, and Wajir counties among others all saw the transfer of nearly a million voters.
According to Chebukati, “We are actually wrapping up our investigation on roughly 3 policemen and will be arrested to face the law and that should be done in the course of the week.”
Ruto was so terrified by the unlawful voter transfer because the so-called “deep state” is actually working for his opponent, Raila Odinga of Azimio.
