Moses Kuria, a member of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance from Gatundu South, has spoken out about his issues with UDA.
In an interview, Kuria claimed that his issues were not with Rigathi Gachagua, the running mate of Deputy President William Ruto, but rather with the UDA party and its leadership.
The lawmaker claims that Ruto is utilizing Rigathi Gachagua to further his sinister goals of eclipsing all other parties in the Mt. Kenya region, including Chama Cha Kazi (CCK) and Tujibebe.
Rigathi Gachagua is not to fault, I say. What I observe is corporate UDA policy that seeks to supplant other Mt. Kenya-regional parties. Rigathi Gachagua is merely a business policy’s agent if it comes through him.
“UDA vs our parties are at odds over a basic institutional issue. It has to do with the coalition as a whole, and we didn’t sign a deal with William Ruto or the UDA as individuals; rather, we did so as eleven parties, he said.
“I want to complain to UDA. I have no doubt that Rigathi Gachagua is following orders. If Rigathi is endorsing UDA, I believe it to be a Kenya Kwanza matter, he continued.
Kuria had earlier blamed Gachagua for promoting a six-piece voting pattern in favour of UDA at the expense of other Kenya Kenya-allied parties.
