Former prime minister Raila Odinga is far ahead of his rival, Deputy President William Ruto, in the polls for the August 9th election, according to Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
The influential PS, who has President Uhuru Kenyatta’s ear, claimed in an interview with Kameme FM on Tuesday morning that every morning he receives and reads about 55 National Intelligence Service (NIS) reports, and they all rank Raila Odinga first with 64 percent.
He added that while it is his duty to express and share his views, everyone is free to accept or reject the results of the vote.
“By 4 AM every morning, I had already reviewed 55 intelligence reports. According to the reports, Raila Odinga is in the lead with 64% of the vote. You are free to accept it or reject it, says Karanja Kibicho.
This comes just a day after ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru revealed that things are changing as a result of the selection of Martha Karua as Raila Odinga’s running mate and the return of Kalonzo to Azimio, and that the Azimio coalition’s front-runner currently holds a 64 percent lead in the NIS poll.
