Francis Atwoli, the Secretary-General of the Central Organisation of Trade Unions (COTU), has lambasted Musalia Mudavadi, the head of the Amani National Congress (ANC), for disrespecting former Prime Minister Raila Odinga.
Mudavadi has been camping in Western Kenya, where he has been abusing Raila Odinga with unprintable comments. Mudavadi is currently backing Deputy President William Ruto’s Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
On Friday, Atwoli said it was startling to hear Mudavadi disparage Raila Odinga, despite the fact that he was the one who appointed him as Deputy Prime Minister during the grand coalition administration.
Raila Odinga has done a lot for the Luhya community, according to the septuagenarian, and he deserves the tribe’s support in August.
“Raila Odinga’s leadership and affection for our people has benefited Luhyas.” Mudavadi has no shame in speaking ill of Raila after receiving so much from her. In the grand coalition government, he made him deputy prime minister. Atwoli stated Mudavadi should “inform our people what DP Ruto has done for the region.”
