According to Kisumu Senatorial hopeful Prof. Tom Ojienda, the return of Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka to the Azimio la Umoja coalition will score them a decisive victory in the August 9 polls.
On Thursday, Ojienda declared on Citizen TV’s Daybreak show that Kalonzo will win votes from the lower Eastern region (Ukambani), giving Raila Odinga, Azimio’s presidential candidate, a 10-point advantage over his rivals.
Raila has a 4-point edge over Kenya Kwanza coalition presidential candidate William Ruto, according to a recent opinion poll done by Ojienda.
“With the addition of Kalonzo Musyoka, Azimio is now complete, and there is little question that the vote in the lower Eastern region will be split. Azimio will have a 10-point advantage over Kenya Kwanza, I guarantee you “‘The poll data was conducted days before Kalonzo’s entry,’ he claimed.
He also dismissed Kenya Kwanza’s chances of winning enough votes from Ukambani, arguing that other regional leaders have no chance against Kalonzo, who has a sizable support base.
“I don’t believe that the Kenyan Kwanza parties from the lower east, such as Governor Mutua’s, have a substantial impact on the vote basket. I can tell you that the Ukambani vote will be cast in one direction “According to Ojienda.
