On Monday, Aden Duale, the Garissa Township MP, and William Ruto, the front-runner in the 2022 presidential race, began a week-long campaign in the North-Eastern area that will end on Friday.
The Kenya Kwanza team kicked off their campaign with a long economic conference in Garissa, where the UDA presidential candidate sought citizens’ input on development.
On their Bottom-Up Economic Plan, the team included farmers, small traders, grassroots leaders, opinion-shapers, and experts from Garissa County, among others.
The brigade then conducted a series of stopovers in the region on Tuesday, which were marked by dramatic situations.
A security breach occurred while Duale was speaking at a rally, when an unidentified man grabbed his pants, causing the politician to panic and force him to stop speaking.
Duale, the former National Assembly Majority Leader, was shown in a video attempting to defend himself from the unnamed man undressing him.
