Amber Heard has responded to Johnny Depp’s first ever TikTok video, in which the actor stated that he is “moving forward,” via her spokesman.

Last week, Depp, 58, won a defamation case against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, 36. He subsequently joined TikTok to express his gratitude to the followers who had supported him throughout the trial.

The Pirates of the Caribbean star addressed his “treasured, loyal, and unshakeable” fan following in his debut post.

“We’ve gone everywhere together, and we’ve seen everything.” We’ve both been along the same path. He wrote, “We did the right thing together because you cared.”

“And now we’ll all take a step forward together.” You are, as always, my employers, and there is no way for me to express my gratitude other than to say thank you. So, thank you very much. JD, I love and respect you.”

The video received millions of views right once, and supporters chimed in to show their support for him.

According to The People, a spokesman for Heard issued a statement in response to Depp’s remark, adding, “As Johnny Depp says he’s’moving forward,’ women’s rights are regressing.” The verdict sends a message to domestic violence victims: “Don’t be afraid to speak up and speak out.”

It’s not the first time since the trial ended that the actress has spoken out. She confirmed that she would appeal the decision after learning of the outcome, before issuing the following statement:

“I can’t express how disappointed I am today. I’m heartbroken that the weight of evidence was insufficient to overcome my ex-enormous husband’s power, influence, and persuasion.

“I’m much more dissatisfied with the implications of this decision for other women.” It turns the clock back to a time when a woman who spoke up and spoke out could be publically humiliated and shamed. It undermines the notion that women’s violence should be taken seriously.”
