The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) has refused Jimmy Wanjigi of the Safina party permission to run for President in August.

Wanjigi was denied approval by the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) on Monday after failing to present enough signatures and copies of IDs of supporters who sponsored his presidential bid.

Wanjigi was also ordered by Chebukati to show his genuine degree certificate in order to be cleared.

Wanjigi, speaking to journalists, accused Chebukati of using a double standard in approving candidates.

“We know what’s going on, and you’re not going to get away with it this time,” Wanjigi warned.

“It appears that there has been a very clear judgment that there are some persons who are not intended to be on the ballot, and I am one of them,” Wanjigi added.

The billionaire has stated that he will utilize legal tactics to assure his inclusion on the August ballot.

“Regardless of the shenanigans you’re witnessing today, I’ll be on the ballot.” “We’re going to vaccinate this IEBC completely,” he stated.
