Linus Kaikai, the senior manager of Citizen TV, is the man behind prejudice in broadcasting Kenya Kwanza Alliance rallies, according to a close aide of Deputy President William Ruto.
Kericho County Senator Aaron Cheruiyot claimed on his social media page on Saturday that Citizen TV was professional until Kaikai joined the media house and brought it down to the same level as Kenya Broadcasting Corporation (KBC).
“You make it sound like you’re doing me a favor.” You’re using PUBLIC bandwidth, so be kind to all Kenyans. Until you joined, @citizentvkenya was a very professional organization.
“Since then, you’ve reduced its credibility to the lowest of any post-colonial Kenyan media outlet.” Cheuiyot told Kaikai, “Nyayo’s KBC did better.”
After Ruto accused Citizen TV, Inooro TV/FM, and Kameme TV/FM of prejudice in covering his rallies on Saturday, Cheruiyot made the remarks.
Citizen TV has been accused of favoring the Azimio Alliance over the Kenya Kwanza Alliance.
