A Russian model died after falling 80 feet from a condominium in Phuket, Thailand.
After falling from an eighth-floor balcony of the resort residential complex, Evgenia Simonova, a 37-year-old Russian tourist and webcam model, sustained fatal brain injuries and a fractured leg.
When she was discovered, the woman was holding a hank of human hair in her fingers.
Following the discovery of a clump of hair in her hand, Thai police suspect the model was shoved.
Authorities are currently conducting a forensic examination of the hair sample clutched in Smirnova’s palm in order to determine who she may have grasped as she fell.
Smirnova arrived in Phuket on Saturday, May 25, and her corpse was discovered on Tuesday, May 31 in the early hours of the morning.
According to the Bangkok Post, another Russian woman, Natalia Kosenkova, 35, was detained together with two men on suspicion of drug usage following the incident in the popular Patong nightlife zone.
Jamaal Antwaun Smith, 38, of the United States, and Ahmad Radi Mustafa Alatoom, 28, of Jordan, were detained.
Following Smirnova’s death, the Jordanian was apprehended while attempting to catch a flight out of Thailand.
