The Deep State is apparently on edge right now after Murang’a Governor Mwangi Wa Iria threatened to expose behind-the-scenes negotiations that led to Deputy President William Ruto’s one million votes allegedly going missing.
Ruto stated that over one million registered voters in his areas had been removed from the IEBC registry.
Ruto told EU Ambassadors on Thursday that around 800,000 names had mysteriously vanished from the public registry.
“We will take a stance on this issue.” “We’re writing to IEBC because there was an attempt to remove names from the IEBC database,” he explained.
“It’s hazardous to assume that the deep state will control elections, especially when public leaders are chest-thumping.”
IEBC Chairman Wafula Chebukati, on the other hand, disputed Ruto’s concerns, claiming that no data from the voter register had been lost.
However, in a news conference yesterday, the enraged Mwangi Wa Iria seemed to back up Ruto’s claim, claiming he is willing to reveal how the DP’s votes vanished.
He stated that he was willing to meet with international observers to conduct an audit of the electoral commission.
