Raila Odinga Junior, the son of Azimio presidential candidate Raila Odinga, has spoken out over President Uhuru Kenyatta’s unprecedented decision to ignore Deputy President William Ruto at Madaraka Day celebrations at Uhuru Gardens.
Raila Junior, speaking on his Twitter account and without naming the DP, appeared to accuse him of grabbing part of the Uhuru Gardens before it was recaptured by the government.
In light of this, he believes Uhuru was correct in denying him the opportunity to speak at a location he claimed he had “grabbed.”
“The Uhuru Gardens have been regained.” It was claimed to have reached past Lang’ata Primary School. Huyu! Raila Junior wrote, “Angechafua wengi roho angekubaliwa kuongea kwa reclaimed site yet ni mhusika mkuu au sio.”
In his speech, the President stated that the Uhuru Gardens had been illegally taken by unscrupulous individuals.
He made no mention of the individuals involved, nor did he even imply that his deputy was involved.
