Detectives detained a woman recorded on CCTV fleeing after drugging a man at Small Villa Gardens in Kenol, Murang’a County, over the weekend.
The alleged’mchele woman’ is now revealed to be the victim’s wife.

The victim was freed from the hospital on Monday and went to the Kenol Police Station, where he acknowledged that the suspect, Alice Wangechi, is his long-time legal wife, according to Maragua Sub-county police chief Alexander Shikiondi.

    Wangechi was later freed.

The victim is alleged to have walked to the entertainment center with Wangechi on the tragic day he was poisoned.

They drank a lot of alcohol, and he passed out at 11 p.m.

After passing out, Wangechi was seen on CCTV gathering his stuff, which included ATM cards, identity cards, and cell phones.

She was, however, barred from leaving the establishment, and police were summoned.

Wangechi was detained and charged with stupefying charges, while the victim was brought to the hospital in severe condition.
