Following his appearance at Raila Odinga’s unveiling of Martha Karua as his running mate on Monday before rushing out even before the event began to attend Wiper Leader Kalonzo Musyoka’s presidential campaign launch, which left a lot to be desired, Baringo Senator and KANU Chairman Gideon Moi has now come clean on his political position.
Gideon Moi confirmed his membership in the Azimio la Umojan coalition and stated that his KANU party will continue to back Raila Odinga’s presidential campaign in a statement.

He urged KANU members to continue working with the Azimio camp, claiming that this was the only way to keep the country united.

“I’d like to use this opportunity to reassure you, both individually and collectively, that we’ve been focusing on the right things.”

“We are aggressively working to bring together all of our political allies who share our beliefs.” “We will leave no one behind,” Gideon Moi declared.

Raila had already been informed by KANU Secretary General Nick Salat that they are staying in Azimio and do not recognize any other group.

Gideon Moi’s decision to formally skip Raila’s event had Kenyans wondering what his next political move would be, especially after his close ally Kalonzo Musyoka had announced an official breakup with Raila and the Azimio la Umoja coalition.
