Airtel Money is a mobile money transfer service offered in Kenya and other African nations. Airtel is Kenya’s second-largest mobile phone provider. It currently has a client base of 6 million people and is increasing.
Requirements
- Completed Airtel Money Agent Application form
- A copy of your Business Registration certificate
- A copy of your PIN Certificate
- A copy of ID
- Capital Requirement (Ksh 30,000 for each outlet)
- Only one, but no more than three, outlet locations are permitted.
- The business owner’s two passport photographs
How to register
- Send scanned copies of the required documents to airtelmoney@ke.airtel.com or present them to your nearest Airtel center or to your Airtel representative.
- You will be visited by a representative who will walk you through the next steps.
- Once you’ve been authorized, you’ll be issued a trade SIM card and educated by an Airtel Money expert.
- You will also receive the Airtel money point of sale materials and user guidelines that are required.
